I have the ability to work well under pressure, and a great sense of humor. But integrity is most important to me. My sellers rest easy knowing their property is always marketed in the most efficacious way and will sell for the maximum that the local market will allow. I’m also a good listener, which helps me zero-in on my buyers’ property needs and wants and only show them homes with their desired characteristics. Having been a home buyer and seller way before I became a Realtor, I know that there is no worse experience than someone showing you properties that you’re not interested in “just to sell you something”. I enjoy meeting and being with people, and coupled with respect for each person, all these are things that drive me to do the utmost for my clients.
I have extensive real estate experience as a real estate investor, Realtor, home stager and President of Homeowners Associations. I have an eye for investment, having been involved in renovating properties and selling or leasing them for a profit. Being very conscious of the environment, I have always incorporated green features into my renovations. My ability to visualize a home’s potential and the finished product of what that property could be continues to help both my buyers and sellers in their quest to sell their home or buy their dream one.
I am involved in community activities through my church and my neighborhood. I have also been a member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce, and the American Translators Association. I love golf and am an avid golfer very familiar with Los Angeles golf courses. I have worked as a professional photographer for several years and am an enthusiastic hobby photographer as well.
Born and raised in Cuba, I am completely bilingual in Spanish. I have lived in Madrid, Spain, and have traveled extensively through many countries, assimilating art, architecture and cultural customs in my travels. My creative side, including my training in photography and art, combines seamlessly with my business acumen, providing my clients with rounded insight into properties.
I hold an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, a BA in Biology and Photography from Notre Dame of Maryland University, and a degree in Piano from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. I hold a PA degree from the Physician Assistant Program at Towson University and have worked at several Los Angeles hospitals. I attended high school at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Baltimore.
I am certified as a short Sale and Properties in Foreclosure Specialist, and as a Real Estate-Owned Listing Specialist. The breadth of my experience has prepared me to exceed the expectations of my clients. And my strong desire to continue learning always keeps me abreast of all the latest real estate, neighborhoods, and schools information to give to my clients.
